Answer

Instructors will wrap black tip tape around your child’s belt to indicate that he / she has knowledge of the curriculum required for the given tip. Additionally, instructors are required to sign and date your child’s success Sheet curriculum when presenting your child with his / her black tips. Please note, receiving a black tip indicates that a student has an understanding of the curriculum required for the tip. Students will still need to receive a red strip be fore they sit the belt exam.
